- According to several reports, Tom Hardy has faced unexpected conflict with his MobLand co-stars, Pierce Brosnan and Dame Helen Mirren.
- Multiple sources claim he was fired from the Paramount+ series over on-set behavior issues.
- A new insider alleges Tom refused to leave his trailer for hours, keeping cast members waiting as a “power play.”
There seem to be some developments in Tom Hardy’s unexpected feud with his MobLand co-stars, Pierce Brosnan and Dame Helen Mirren. After several outlets reported that Tom was fired from the Paramount+ series, more sources have come forward with additional details in The Hollywood Reporter’s latest update.
Per one of the outlet’s insiders, “Much of this irresolution stems from the fact that the streamer has not yet officially renewed the show for a third season…filming on season three, if greenlit, is tentatively scheduled to begin in September this year.”
As for Tom’s alleged behavior on set, the source claimed, “He refused to come out of his trailer for hours at a time. He kept the cast waiting, [which is] a power play. Keeping Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, and others waiting is career suicide, I would wager.”
This comes days after a source for the Daily Mail claimed that Tom is “quite the opposite” of his calm, charming character “when the cameras stop.”
They explained, “Dame Helen is a joy, she is a total pro and she has worked with so many people over the years. But she is getting increasingly frustrated with Tom and his attitude. He can be late to filming too and that is annoying for Dame Helen, who is extremely professional and disciplined,” adding that she “doesn’t like” his “lateness” or attitude.
They continued, “It has all become quite personal between them. It feels like Tom is winding her up. There is much chatter that he swaggers around like he’s the king. He is very, very arrogant. It’s a fantastic show and everyone loves working on it. It’s such a shame there is this undertone.”
Puck and Variety also published quotes from sources who claimed Tom “was not asked to return to the series following on-set issues with executive producer Jez Butterworth, 101 Studios, and others.”
Despite headlines about Tom being fired from the show ahead of its potential third season, another insider previously told THR that his fate on the show has yet to be determined, so…staying tuned to see what happens there.
